The automated, highly-sensitive system for higher throughput applications

SURFE²R™ Workstation 500 is a fully-automated system, based on the revolutionary label-free SURFE²R technology, that is designed specifically for applications in transporter-based drug discovery where higher throughput is required.

Speeding-up your workflow

Automated operation, in combination with the 96-well sensor plate format, delivers a throughput of several hundred data-points per day. This solution meets the commercial needs of the pharmaceutical industry and, in contrast to manual patch clamping, can easily be integrated into a standard screening laboratory.

The workstation consists of: a laptop connected to a central unit equipped with a sensor-plate holder; a low-noise, eight-channel amplifier; and an IonJet™ functional head for liquid-handling. Assay reagents and test compounds are also stored on-station. To ensure high flexibility within day-to-day work, the system can be used with disposable 96-well sensor plates, as well as with single sensors.
